Trading Systems Engineer

Sommet Labs is hiring a trading systems engineer to build the trading and market structure infrastructure behind our DEX work. You will own pieces of the order pipeline, market maker integration surface, and pricing and settlement systems across our trading products.

• Design and build production trading systems: pricing, settlement, market maker pipelines, integration APIs.
• Work closely with smart contracts engineers on the on-chain and off-chain boundary.
• Build and maintain SDKs and gateway APIs for external participants.
• Contribute to market structure decisions: settlement models, solver design, RFQ pipelines.
• Performance-tune for latency, throughput, and reliability.

• 4+ years of trading systems experience at a CEX, DEX, market maker, or proprietary trading firm.
• Deep familiarity with at least one market structure paradigm: CLOB, RFQ, auction-based, or AMM.
• Strong systems engineering background in Rust, Go, or similar, with a production track record.
• Experience integrating with EVM and non-EVM chains.
• Comfort with low-level networking, latency optimization, and concurrent systems.

• Trader's instinct, engineer's discipline.
• Owns the system end-to-end: design, code, deploy, debug, iterate.
• High bar for correctness in financially critical code.
• Resilient in chaotic, high-stakes environments.
