Senior Smart Contracts Engineer

Sommet Labs is hiring a senior smart contracts engineer to write production contracts and protocol standards across our portfolio. You will own contract design, audit-readiness, and on-chain economics for our in-house products and ecosystem standards. Compact experience is preferred; senior Solidity engineers with strong systems instincts are welcome to apply.

• Design, write, and audit-prepare smart contracts in Compact and adjacent languages.
• Lead the contract architecture for in-house products and ecosystem standards.
• Author and shepherd improvement proposals through specification, reference implementation, and review.
• Collaborate closely with cryptography, systems, and product engineers on integration boundaries.
• Define and maintain testing strategy, deployment workflows, and on-chain monitoring.

• 5+ years of professional smart contract engineering at major DeFi protocols.
• Deep familiarity with at least one production contract language: Solidity, Vyper, Move, Cairo, or Compact.
• Track record of contracts you have shipped that have moved real value at scale.
• Working understanding of cryptographic primitives used in privacy-preserving systems.
• Experience with formal audits, internal review, and adversarial threat modeling.

• High taste for clarity and minimalism in contract design.
• Strong ownership: comfortable taking a feature from spec through deployment.
• Independent operator who navigates ambiguity without process overhead.
• Calm under production pressure.
